The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a mountain sightseeing route of more than 37 kilometers connecting Tateyama Town in Toyama Prefecture and Omachi City in Nagano Prefecture with buses and cable cars.

Although nearly 1 million tourists visit each year, they are closed by snow during the winter.

What I opened on the 10th was the 16.3 km section of the Toyama side from the Tateyama station of the cable car to Mt. Yadagahara, at an altitude of 1930 meters, at 8 am, the first cable car is Tateyama I left the station.

A large number of tourists visited from overseas on 10th, many bus tourists arrived, changed to the bus at Beijing, 977 meters in height at the end of the cable car, and reached the Midagahara for another 30 minutes.

People who visited enjoyed taking pictures and touching the snow in front of the walls of snow that is more than twice the height of the people under the blue sky.

A woman from Indonesia told me, "I was surprised at the snow wall, it is very beautiful."

The full line opening of the alpine route is scheduled for 15th this month, and the height of the huge snow wall "Snow Otani" of sightseeing attractions is expected to be about 19 meters, which is comparable to last year.

Mr. Kenji Sasaki, the company operating the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, said, "I would like to experience the powerful snow wall, I aim for the use of one million people."
