Takeda Pharmaceutical Industry, the biggest in the pharmaceutical industry, announced that it will acquire Ireland's major pharmaceutical company. The acquisition amounted to 46 billion pounds (about 6.8 trillion yen in the Japanese yen), which is the largest ever for Japanese companies to acquire foreign companies.
