"Yoshida's fire festival" is a traditional event that is believed to be transmitted to Fuji Asama Shrine north entrance of Fujiyoshida City over 400 years ago.

In the festival, local people carry mikoshi and others from the shrine in the shape of Mt. Fuji and carry it to a place called a tourist place about 1 km away.

On the road in the shrine and its surroundings, 96 torches centered on the height of about 3 meters were lined up and fire set one after the other along with the arrival of Mikoshi.

According to the organizer, about 185,000 people visited on 26th, and while being enveloped in a fantastic atmosphere with a flickering flame, people who visited were spared the summer's passing did.
