Japanese judge Tamaki Momo won the gold medal by winning the North Korean athlete at the judo girls' 57 kilometer finals of the Jakarta Asian Games. The gold medal of this class in Japan is the third consecutive tournament, following the Kaoru Matsumoto of the 2010 Guangzhou Games and Aki Yamamoto of the 2014 Inchon Competition.
