3年前、軍事転用が可能な機械を不正に輸出したとして中小企業の経営者ら3人が逮捕・起訴され、1年近く勾留された後に起訴が取り消された「えん罪事件」。NHKは新たに、警視庁公安部と、東京地方検察庁の複数の検事とのやりとりを記録した警察の内部メモを入手しました。メモには、起訴の1週間前に担当検事が「規定がおかしいという前提であれば起訴できない」「不安になってきた。大丈夫か」などと発言したと記されていました。

Three years ago, three small and medium-sized enterprise managers were arrested and prosecuted for illegally exporting machinery that could be militarily converted, and were detained for nearly a year before the prosecution was dropped, in what was known as a "false accusation case". NHK has obtained internal police memos recording exchanges between the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Public Security Bureau and multiple prosecutors from the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office. The memos noted that the prosecuting attorney in charge expressed concerns such as, "If we assume that the regulations are strange, we cannot prosecute," and "I'm starting to feel anxious. Is everything okay?" a week before the prosecution.
